The 6th ICSUE Notice to Participants

    We are very glad to inform you that after expert review, your paper has been accepted by the 6th International Conference on Scientometrics and University Evaluation, which will be held from November 4th to 8th, 2010, in Wuhan University. The conference is sponsored by Wuhan University, Huazhong Normal University, Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy, US News & World Report (USNEWS) and International Ranking Expert Group (IREG), and the theme of this conference is "Scientometrics, University Evaluation and Social Development". As a top forum on the Scientometrics supported by domestic and foreign academic authorities, this conference has been held for several years and represents the frontier of this field. We hereby notify you on some relevant issues:

    1. Paper acceptance

    For those whose paper has been accepted, please prepare PPT and be ready to present the paper orally in main conference hall or branch hall. The English papers being accepted will be complied into a memoir and officially published by the Journal of Wuhan University (Information Science Edition)which is indexed by EI. The Chinese papers being accepted will be published in conference proceeding or recommend to core journals such as Higher Education Development and Assessment.

    2. Expenses and registration

    Expenses include publication fee and conference fees.

    (1) Publication fee

    As announced in the notice for this international meeting, authors whose papers are accepted are required to pay a publication fee. The publication fee for an English paper is 2,000RMB for authors from mainland China (320 USD for authors from other countries, including China Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan); If the first author of the paper is ISSI or IREG member, the publication fee is 1,800RMB for authors from mainland China (300 USD for authors from other countries, including China Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan). The publication fee for a Chinese paper is 500RMB.
    Please shorten your manuscript because if the length of your paper is more than 4 pages, an additional charge of 500RMB (80 USD for authors from other countries) per page will be added.

    (2)Conference Fee

    Participants are also required to pay some conference fee. Participants from mainland China are expected to pay 800RMB per person before Sep. 20th, 2010. If the payment is done late, we will surcharge 200 RMB. Full-time graduate students can enjoy 25% discount with a valid student ID card. ISSI and IREG member also can enjoy 25% discount. Participants from other countries (including China Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan) are expected to pay 200 USD per person before Sep. 20th, 2010. If the payment is overdue, we will charge another 50 USD. ISSI and IREG Members can enjoy 25% discount. For those who attend the meeting without submitting paper, we charge 1,000RMB per person (the students only need to pay 800 RMB), and another 200 RMB will be surcharged for overdue payment.

    (3) Payment

    For the convenience of conference organization, we require online registration and payment before meeting and ICSUE 2010 opens a “Special Dual-currency Account for International Conference ". For detailed registration steps and instructions, please visit Conference Website.

    The payment and registration must be completed before Sep. 20th, 2010（Please scan the remittance documents into electronic format,and send it to ICSUE2010@gmail.com）; otherwise, we would not publish your paper in conference proceedings, and could not guarantee your accommodation.

    3. Accommodation and tours

    During the meeting we will arrange the accommodation for participants, but the accommodation fee should be paid by the participants. If you wish to go to the Three Gorges Dam or Wudang Mountain in Hubei province, please specify it in your registration form so that we can arrange tours for you. The participant shall bear all the cost of traveling.

    Departure time: 17:00 on Nov. 6th or 18:00 on 8th, 2010. Return tickets is better to be bought before you come to Wuhan.

    5. Traffic Route

    As this is a large-scale international conference attended by more than 200 people, it would be difficult for us to meet every participant at the railway station or airport. You can get the Conference Registration site by the following lines.
    Route 1: from Wuhan Tianhe Airport
    Wuhan Tianhe Airport (By Airport Bus) to Fujiapo coach station Luojia Hill station. The cost is about 35RMB. Taking a taxi would cost you about 100RMB.
    Route 2: from Wuhan Railway Station
    Wuhan Station (By Bus 540) to Dingziqiao station (By Bus 519,564,806) to Luojia Hill station. The cost is about 1-2 RMB. Taking a taxi would cost you about 45RMB.
    Route 3: from Hankou Railway Station
    Hankou Railway Station (By Bus 519) to Luojia Hill station, 2RMB per person. Taking a taxi would cost you about 45RMB.
    Route 4: from Wuchang Railway Station
    Wuchang Railway Station (By Bus 564) to Luojia Hill station, 1RMB per person. Taking a taxi would cost you about 15RMB.
